MERCEDES  200 - W115  “Strich-Acht” 1968

      Modelele Mercedes-Benz W114/W115 sunt o serie de coupe-uri și sedanuri introduse în 1968 de către Mercedes-Benz, fabricate pana in anul 1976, care se  distingeau pe piata prin numere care desemnează motoarele lor. Modelele W115 aveau motoare cu patru cilindri și au fost comercializate ca 200, 220, 230, și 240 în timp ce modelele W114 aveau motoare cu sase cilindri și au fost comercializate ca 230, 250, și 280.

      Incepand cu 1968, Mercedes si-a denumit gama de modele "Noua Generatie de Modele" adaugand pe placuta care denumea modelul "/8" (provenit de la anul 1968). Deoarece aceste modele erau de fapt singurele cu adevarat din asa-numita "Noua Generatie", dar si datorita indicativului "/8" ,modelele W115 au primit apelativul german "Strich Acht", tradus aproximativ "bara opt"

      Modelele W114/W115 au inlocuit modelul W110 "Coada de randunica", incepand cu 1961, si au fost inlocuite la randul lor de seria W123, dupa 1976.

      Macheta provine din Colectia Mercedes, aparuta in Germania, si este produsa de catre IXO. Culoarea in care este realizata macheta este una foarte potrivita, care a existat si pe modele reale. Farurile sunt din plastic transparent si au reprezentate semnalizatoarele iar stopurile sunt din plastic colorat, in 3 culori. Grila frontala este foarte bine realizata si are atasata emblema Mercedes fotodecupata. Manerele usilor antena si stergatoraele de parbriz sunt aplicate si cromate. De asemeni, jantele sunt cromate si au capace in culoarea caroseriei, cu sigla marcii Mercedes. Interiorul este foarte bine realizat si detaliat, in culoarea visinei putrede iar bordul este evidentiat prin decal-uri.

 

      The Mercedes-Benz  W114/W115 models are a series of coupes and sedans introduced in 1968 by Mercedes-Benz, manufactured through model year 1976, and distinguished in the marketplace by nameplates designating their engines. W115 models featured four-cylinder engines and were marketed as the 200, 220, 230, and 240 while W114 models featured six-cylinder engines and were marketed as the 230, 250, and 280.

      Beginning in 1968, Mercedes marketed their model range as New Generation Models, giving their ID plates the designation "/8" (due to their 1968 launch year). Because they were the only truly new cars of the so-called "New Generation" and because of the "/8" or "slash eight" designation,  W115 models ultimately received the German nickname "Strich Acht", loosely translated into the English "Slash Eight".

      The W114/W115 models replaced the W110 Fintail models stemming from 1961, and were themselves replaced by the W123 series after 1976.

 

      The model comes from the Mercedes Collection, published in Germany, and is produced by IXO. The color used is very suitable and existed on real cars. The headlights are clear plastic and have signaling lights attached, and the rear lights are colored in 3 colors. The front grille is very well done and has attached photo-trimmed Mercedes emblem. Door handles, antenna and windshield wipers are applied and chromed . Also, the wheels are chromed and have caps in car's color with the Mercedes Logo. The interior is very well done and detailed in rotten cherry color and dashboard is highlighted by decals.
